Composite Toecap

Safety shoes with a composite toecap are sometimes also referred to as composite toe boots. These work shoes are lighter than steel toe boots and don’t contain any metals. Some composite materials are Kevlar, plastic and carbon fiber. The nose of composite toe boots is usually a little bit higher, because more material is needed to provide the same protection as with a steel toe. Composite work shoes are usually more suitable for people who have to go through metal detectors, like people working at an airport, in security or in a nuclear power plant. Safety shoes with a composite toecap don’t set off metal detectors, since they don’t have any metal components.
